Chickens

What is pastured poultry?

Pastured poultry is a production system that employs raising chickens directly on pasture. The model has been developed over the last 20+ years and allows the birds to receive a portion of their feed intake from pasture forage. The baby chicks are started inside in a brooder. As soon as they are old enough, they are moved outdoors into their movable chicken palaces. We give them free choice organic feed and move palaces frequently so they always have access to fresh pasture. The birds have lots of room to run while still having the shelters to give them shade from the sun and protection from the rain. The range area and shelters are surrounded with mesh to protect the birds from predators. This method gives our flocks a clean, healthy environment while also providing fertilizer for the pasture.

All sales transactions are through our Microsoft Bcentral account.
